The successful candidate will provide leadership in the area of library information technology, build consensus among various constituents in the consortium, investigate and recommend library information technology solutions, and actively participate in the creation of a contemporary, user-centered information environment. The focus of the position will be the direction of CONSORT library systems used by four of the colleges (Oberlin excluded). The Associate Director will play an important role in the provision of training and development for our library staffs and in the growing library systems collaborations among all five colleges. Primary Responsibilities: Providing leadership and thinking strategically about technological solutions by taking a major role in planning, implementing, and training for the adoption and integration of new library technologies that meet the needs of library users and staff. Leading, maintaining and supporting CONSORT, the four libraries' shared Integrated Library System (currently Sierra from Innovative Interfaces, Inc.). Acting as a key resource person for issues related to the consortium's common discovery and electronic resource management tools, including but not limited to Summon, 360 Link and 360 Resource Manager. Contributing to resolving issues related to the management and discovery of shared electronic resources.
