The University of Washington is recruiting a Digital Preservation and Electronic Records Analyst.

Researches and develops a long term digital preservation plan for UW Medicine digital assets and electronic content. This includes identifying current assets at risk (including existing legacy systems), industry standards for digital preservation, a technology-neutral digital preservation infrastructure, the elements of a trustworthy repository, and RMS digital preservation services. This also includes developing digital preservation strategies and techniques related to ingesting, managing and accessing digital assets in long term storage (e.g., metadata, readability, migration). In addition, the position is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus, in particular with UW Medicine ITS, UW Medicine RMS, and other subject matter experts, on long term digital preservation needs and web-based solutions.
