Working within the program for Digital Initiatives and Scholarship, the Digitization Specialist produces digital surrogates from a variety of still image, text, and other formats from Library and other University holdings. S/he creates digital surrogates according to established standards to meet Hesburgh Libraries’ goals for digitizing resources. This position reports to the program co-director for Digital Initiatives and Scholarship, but works closely with the Metadata & Digital Projects Librarian and other staff for work assignments and quality controls.
