Reporting to the Head of the Center for Digital Scholarship and Services, the Digital Applications Specialist provides development and support of digital asset management, repository, publishing, metadata and preservation systems and services offered by the Center for Digital Scholarship and Services within Oregon State University Libraries & Press. The position also provides research support in these areas of emphasis within the Center. The person in this position writes and/or modifies code; conducts quality assurance on code contributed by other developers; designs, develops, tests, and deploys new technologies, tools, and resources to extend and enhance digital content and services; and participates in ongoing evaluations of emerging academic and library technologies.
