The kinds of things you'll likely do in this position:
- Support the library's core systems — III's Millennium ILS and EBSCO's EDS search engine/discovery layer, as well as LibGuides, LibAnswers, ILLiad, and Ares.
- Craft clean, maintainable, and tested code with the aid of modern MVC best practices, design patterns, and test frameworks.
- Automate library processes, such as sending and receiving vendor data.
- Build and support thoughtful integrations with multiple university systems.
- Implement and support open source solutions such as Omeka, Islandora, Fedora Commons, or other similar institutional repositories.
