This position will develop and coordinate programs focused on improving the user experience of the Coutnway Library and will engage users in the assessment of our services and spaces. Working with students, library staff and faculty across Harvard Medical School the User Experience Librarian is responsible for conducting usability testing and user research, and applying findings and expertise to build a framework for iterative design, implementation, and review of learning objects. The User Experience Librarian will conceive, propose, and design user interfaces through which teaching, learning, and assessment is conducted over the Web, based on contemporary technologies and techniques and accounting for the multiple modes of interaction (personal and portable computers, tablets, and smartphones, etc.).
