The Librarian for Geospatial Data and Systems is a member of the Office of Digital Scholarship and Scholarly Communications in the Vanderbilt Libraries. Reporting to the Director of Digital Scholarship and Scholarly Communications, the Librarian for Geospatial Data and Systems will take the lead in developing and supporting scholarly research that involves mapping and geospatial data. The Geospatial Librarian develops tools and platforms, trains students, faculty and staff to create and visualize geospatial data, and makes connections between GIS technologies, critical mapping, and academic disciplines across the university.
