As part of the Library's senior administrative group, the AUL will work closely with the University Librarian (UL), Deputy UL, and AULs for Learning and Engagement and Digital Strategies. The Research Resources and Scholarly Communication division is comprised of Collection Strategies; Content Management Services; Special Research Collections; and Scholarly Communication. In this role, the AUL will design strategic and analytic approaches to development of the Library’s collections and access to scholarly resources. In line with the principles of UC Santa Barbara and the University of California system, the AUL will develop programming and budget strategies in support of open science, digital humanities, and open access publishing.
