The Project Archivist is a grant-funded, term-limited position responsible for the comprehensive digitization and accessibility of the Compton Communicative Arts Academy Collection (approximately 4,791 photographic materials) housed in the Cal State LA Special Collections and Archives. The archivist will ensure the long-term preservation of both the physical and digital collection, create high-quality metadata for discovery, and manage critical copyright and permissions work. This role is central to a community-centered initiative, focusing on the preservation, access, and description of the collection.
