Reporting to the Digital Initiatives Librarian, the Digital Projects Librarian will be responsible for the long-term preservation of FAU's digital collections in the Florida Digital Archive. The desired candidate will have an understanding of emergent and best practices, standards, issues, and trends relating to digital initiatives in an academic library environment. The primary responsibility of this candidate will be the long-term preservation of existing FAU digital content files using the Florida Digital Archives web ingest platform and FTP server to send submission information packages. Experience should reflect the ability to create and edit METs and XML files used to create packages.

        The Media Digitization Production Coordinator will, under the supervision of the Manager of the Stanford Media Preservation Lab, support the management and operation of media reformatting labs and will contribute to the creation and provision of access to digital collections. He/she will contribute to all steps in the production workflow, including materials selection, preparation, metadata creation, quality control and preparation of files for online access and repository preservation. The Production Coordinator will help coordinate the daily operations of media reformatting projects, including data management, troubleshooting, exception handling, and coordination of tasks, working closely with a variety of team members, including but not limited to: the lab manager, project manager(s), archivists and curators, outside vendors, and fellow production staff. The Production Coordinator will also help maintain project documentation, issue status reports, and track daily progress.

        This is a 100% FTE position (40 hours per week) for a fixed term of 36 months, with a possibility of extension.

                he Special Formats and Metadata Cataloger is responsible for and maintains an understanding of issues involved in the cataloging of geospatial data, statistical datasets, cartographic resources, locally produced research data, and other data resources as needs arise. The Cataloger contributes to the professional dialogue to improve service and enhance access to library resources and contributes authority records to the national authority files. The Cataloger also helps support the growing workload surrounding non-MARC metadata in the Libraries, and researches metadata standards and best practices as they apply in a variety of disciplines. The individual in this position serves as a resource for staff in all campus libraries, advising on appropriate strategies for creating and managing metadata for a wide variety of digital media formats, including data sets, theses and dissertations, unpublished scholarly work, raw research data, images, audio, and video.
