The Virginia Tech Libraries are recruiting a Repository Collections Specialist.
Here's an excerpt from the ad:
The Repository Collections Specialist (RCS) assumes responsibility for the architecture and management of collections for the institutional repository, VTechWorks. Under the general supervision of the VTechWorks Librarian and according to relevant digital library and archival standards, the incumbent will process materials; create, submit, organize, and maintain collections; and oversee and conduct quality control for the repository. Processing may also entail describing materials following locally adopted metadata standards, linking files, and assessing copyright status. The RCS will assist with policy development and identify potential materials for the repository, design workflows for single and batch uploads, serve as a consultant to collection administrators and submitters—Virginia Tech faculty, students and staff, supervise a student assistant who helps process materials for the repository, and document policies, procedures, and repository activities.
