This newly established librarian position, reporting to the Associate Dean for Public Services, will have a key role in establishing and expanding repository policies and services of the University of Houston Libraries and will:
- Convene cross-functional teams to provide repository services to faculty
- Work with stakeholders to evaluate and implement evolving and new repository services and to evaluate organizational structure and staffing to support these services
- Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate digital asset management systems and services
- Provide leadership in the adoption of best practices for repositories in copyright and scholarly communication
- Serve as a member of the Committee on Digital Collections with the Head of Special Collections and the Head of Collection Services
- Manage, with campus partners, the submission and publication policies for electronic theses and dissertations through the Vireo submission system
