The Industry Documents Digital Manager develops, supports, and maintains industry document collections that are freely available to anyone around the globe. The first and largest is the Legacy Tobacco Industry Documents followed by others including drug industry and food. The digital archives of documents were produced by the respective companies and serves as the foundation for databases to foster research that advances public health. Reporting to the University Librarian, the Industry Documents Digital Manager is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of these digital libraries, designing effective systems to ingest and manage documents and promotion and training of the collections. The individual may also design and carryout research using industry documents; work with federal and state legal offices to develop and monitor enforcement with legal remedies; and participate in grant writing and grants.
