Reporting to the Head, Scholarly Communications, this position provides operational oversight for specific areas of the Library's scholarly communications program. This is an IUB Libraries' assistant/associate librarian appointment with its attendant responsibilities and privileges and works directly with faculty and researchers to provide services focusing on publishing and disseminating scholarly materials and adopting practices that maximize the impact of faculty research and writing while protecting their intellectual property. Working in collaboration with liaison librarians, this individual will lead efforts to educate and advise the campus community on issues of open access, Creative Commons and other alternative licensing models, digital publication, open textbooks and other open educational resources, and alternative metrics for measuring research impact.
