The Research Data Management Librarian for the Sciences (RDML) reports to the Director of Science and Engineering Library Services. This position will help launch research data management services through the office of the Director of Library Digital Strategies and Innovation. Understanding the research landscape, the role of campus partnerships and the capabilities and limits of library support will be essential to the RDML's work. The RDML needs to communicate effectively with STEM researchers with a deep understanding of the complexities of research workflows and grant management. The RDML will work with relevant stakeholders in developing policies, guidelines and workflows of data management services to ensure good research practice, protection of intellectual property, proper storage and security of research data, compliance with relevant regulations, and appropriate access to research data. The RDML will coordinate ongoing training and support for library staff on research data management fundamentals and services.
