As Digital Collections Specialist you will be responsible for leading the surveying of SMG’s digital and audiovisual collections. In establishing digital collecting activities, your role will support Curators and Archivists acquiring born-digital and hybrid digital content, as well as facilitating SMG colleagues digital skills development. . . . You will be instrumental in driving the digital collecting programme of activity outlined in SMG’s Collection Development Policy 2021 and Digital Strategy 2022-2024: Reach and Impact, so that the Group’s rich and diverse collection of digital and audiovisual content is acquired, preserved, and made available for future generations.
