As a member of the Oregon Digital team, they apply metadata standards to describe born-digital and digitized items to be ingested into the repository. They ensure that the metadata is harvested by external systems such as the Digital Public Library of America to expand the points of access for digital collections. As a member of the LIT department, they offer consultations on metadata creation for OSU researchers at several levels — undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff. They may also support metadata work for the institutional repository (ScholarsArchive@ OSU) or other digital repository services used by the library. This position contributes to departmental research and assessment activities. They collaborate with library colleagues across departments, communicate with campus partners and research groups, and participate in professional organizations and societies.
