Develop, lead, and implement an education program for Stanford Medicine on issues of scholarly communication in a digital environment, including copyright. Develop and coordinate research impact services to support Stanford Medicine in discovering, tracking and communicating the impact of a variety of research outputs, including scholarly articles and datasets. Be informed of, and keep library staff and its users up to date on national and international trends, legislation, and pending changes in intellectual property rights, commercial and academic/research scholarly publishing, and trends and issues in research data management, bibliometrics and research impact. Plan and organize regular events and programs in these areas.
