The Digital Preservation Specialist has the responsibility of ingesting digital content from across campus and the library into the library’s digital preservation repository. This position performs pre-processing work on materials as needed to prepare materials for ingest into the digital preservation repository. After ingest, the position verifies, audits, and monitors preserved content. The incumbent will also participate in tool and system development for the digital preservation unit and the born-digital file transfer and pre-processing station.
