This position works with a team to facilitate access to the data services and collections of a complex, multifaceted research/academic library through direct contact with researchers and the development and promotion of services and collections. The Research Data Management Librarian is a member of the Computational Methods and Data department and participates in Yale University Library programs and committees. The incumbent supports the discovery, use, and management of locally created and externally available data and reports to the Head of Data Services. cumbent participates in Yale Library planning, committees, and task forces; and engages in campus, regional, national, and international organizations and collaborative activities. The incumbent is expected to participate in professional activities outside of Yale and to monitor developments and best practices elsewhere to help ensure the excellence of Yale’s research and learning program.
