The Publishing and Curation Services Department (PCS) at the Penn State University Libraries seeks a Publishing Services Web Developer to support innovative library-based publishing and related services. PCS members collaborate actively with other units in the library as well as faculty and students. The successful candidate will participate in configuration, development and integration of software and functionality for a range of library applications supporting digital collections development and creative publishing and providing support to content contributors in the established suite of applications. Current unit activities in the department include collaboration on faculty web-based projects, Omeka pilot projects, the ScholarSphere repository service, journal and conference publishing, and data curation services. The Developer participates in needs assessment, benchmarking, prototype design, review, troubleshooting, and maintenance of digital products distributed via the web; is responsible for supported applications including installation, configuration, customization, and use; delivers custom application functionality including user interface customization as needed
