The information technology specialist will be primarily responsible for systems that are either involved with the production of digital talking books or the production of other digital materials such as digital braille. The work of this position involves responsibility for a range of software and hardware systems. The work involves design and analysis of systems, prototyping, coding, functional and unit testing, implementation and system acceptance. The Information Technology Specialist will be involved with numerous aspects of information technology, including networking, computer security, desktop computing, lifecycle management, digital archival and interactive web systems.
