Web Developer at Yiddish Book Center


The Center seeks a full-time in-house web developer to support the Center’s extensive digital projects and programs. The primary initial responsibility is to support the development of the Universal Yiddish Library, a groundbreaking project to digitize nearly all Yiddish books ever published and make them searchable with OCR. This project, already in development, will include opportunities for the candidate to work in the fields of digital humanities, library archiving and cataloging, machine learning and OCR using a wide variety of web technologies and programming languages, such as Python, Java, Drupal, PHP, HTML/SCSS, JavaScript, and other web development tools.
