Open Publishing Librarian at University of Idaho


Reporting to the Dean, this position will work within the Digital Scholarship and Open Strategies (DSOS) unit and closely collaborate across the library. In collaboration with the librarys Open Strategies Team, the Open Publishing Librarian will contribute to open initiatives such as the Open Access Publishing Fund, the Pressbooks platform, and the Think Open Fellowship program. They will provide expertise, guidance, and outreach for open publishing, and directly support projects and library fellowship programs for faculty and students. The open publishing librarian will collaborate with colleagues in the Center for Digital Inquiry and Learning (CDIL) on digital scholarship projects related to publishing, such as web development, metadata transformation, and open data work, with opportunities to explore and develop new static web approaches building on our CollectionBuilder initiative.
